Back in the day…(that’s pre-kids), New Years Eve was the time when my “now” husband and I would be getting ready for a “night-on-the-town” . I would be slipping into my size 4 slacks, putting on my size 4 stilettos and getting ready to enjoy a 4 course meal at the local hot spot before heading to an all night jazz concert featuring my favorite artists. Fast forward 5 years later….no longer can I wear my size 4 slacks, my favorite New Years Eve stilettos have been traded in for my comfy purple slippers and we dined on home-made pizza. For entertainment, my husband and I no longer danced to Jonathan Butler and Dave Koz, but watched with great enjoyment as our “half naked 4 year old and 15 month old” danced in a giddy frenzy (I’m sure from the Grape Martinelli’s Sparkling Cider) to the Live In Bucharest Michael Jackson DVD. What a wonderful way to end 2010 and enter 2011!
